Starting Line Corrals
To alleviate congestion along the rail trail, we have intentionally narrowed the start line and organized starting corrals based on pace. These corrals have been designed using previous race data to evenly distribute participants, allowing everyone a safe and enjoyable race experience. Please line up in the corral that best matches your expected pace per mile:
- 5-8 minutes per mile
- 8-9 minutes per mile
- 9-10 minutes per mile
- 10-11 minutes per mile
- 11-12 minutes per mile
- 12-13 minutes per mile
- 13-14 minutes per mile
- 14-16 minutes per mile
- 16-20 minutes per mile
Starting in the appropriate corral ensures that everyone around you is running at a similar pace, reducing the likelihood of congestion and allowing for a smoother, more fluid race. It helps prevent faster runners from needing to weave through the crowd, which can lead to accidental contact. Similarly, it allows those who prefer a more leisurely pace to start comfortably, without the pressure of faster runners immediately behind them. By respecting the corral system, you contribute to a positive race environment where everyone can focus on their personal goals, whether it's achieving a new personal best, enjoying the camaraderie of the event, or simply crossing the finish line with a smile.
